True Light Ministries has curated workshops to assist in helping members of our community develop: spiritually, personally, professionally, familial, and financially. Workshops are held at our church facilities and are held once a month. We bring in experts in the respective areas to delve into the challenges and advise ways to overcome obstacles our members may be facing. We lead by doing. We lead by demonstration. Our vision is that in each development session our members will take away actionable items that will help them achieve their next level.

  True Light Ministries is founded on biblical principles. Our key pillar is Service. We believe in and teach about the Five-Fold Ministry. Those who have been called and chosen by God have been given a gift, and it our duty to help you identify and cultivate that gift. Spiritual development is vital in ministry. In our monthly ministry development session, pastors and leaders convene to cultivate their spiritual growth and enhance their skills for effective ministry. Sessions typically begin with a moment of reflection, grounding participants in a spirit of mindfulness and openness. Discussions revolve around various topics, including theological study, pastoral care techniques, community outreach strategies, and personal well-being. These gatherings often feature guest speakers or presentations on relevant subjects, fostering learning and dialogue within the group. Workshops and interactive activities allow attendees to apply newfound knowledge and hone their abilities. Through collaboration and shared experiences, participants emerge with renewed inspiration, deeper insights, and a strengthened sense of purpose in their sacred calling.

Our leadership is the foundation of our organization. As leaders, we are the examples of what the principles of God look like to the congregation and community. It is imperative that we constantly evolve as leaders. As we achieve our next levels in spiritual and personal growth, we are then able to lead the body of the church to its next level. Leaders often work one on one with the members of their given ministry. They are often the buffer between the pastors and the congregation. Leadership Development helps our leaders guide members of their given ministry in a way to empower, enlighten, and evangelize them. Therefore, not only are the members growing in the ministry, but they are able to go out and teach what is being taught; demonstrate what is being taught; and be a True Light to the world. Every leader needs a strong leader. Together we are evoking change and implementing the principles of God in our church and community. These monthly development workshops enhance and advance our mission. 

The family unit is the core of the congregation. Our first ministry is always in our homes – within our families. We consider this “training ground”. We learn love, compassion, patience, long suffering, and correction through our families first. With the family being the very first ministry you experience, many challenges arise. Thus, we place emphasis on Family Development. We utilize biblical principles of the family construct and apply it to the modern-day family, to teach our families how to overcome life’s challenges. Not only do we teach perseverance, but we also provide tools and resources families can use to mitigate these burdens. Prayer is key. Fasting is necessary. Communication is vital. These are just a few of the concepts we discuss in our monthly Family Development Workshops. 

Finances are one of the challenging areas of today’s time. Whether it be earning finances or managing finances, we recognized that this is a pain point in our congregation, in our community, and in today’s world as a whole. The Bible teaches us to be good stewards over our blessings. The Bible also teaches about planting seeds and reaping that which we have planted. For many years, it had been tabooed to preach prosperity in ministry. However, we understand that God is the Creator of all, and our abundant God intends for us to live in His abundance. We understand that money is a tool and resource. A tool used to advance ministry, advance the human experience, and to procure our necessities. In this, we find it very important to facilitate Financial and Business Development Workshops that teach financial literacy (budgeting/money management), wealth building, and entrepreneurship.
